FALLING RIBBON
polymer clay sculpture
10x5cm

Like a fleeting moment captured in clay, "Falling Ribbon" explores the interplay between gravity and grace. The sculpture's fluid form, reminiscent of a ribbon caught in descent, speaks to the transient nature of time and the inevitability of change.
Through an intuitive sculpting process, I allow my subconscious to guide my hands, relinquishing conscious control and embracing the unpredictable nature of creation. The thinness of the material pushes the boundaries of fragility, creating a sense of delicate tension between form and gravity.
This work invites contemplation on the fleeting moments of beauty that surround us, encouraging us to appreciate the present moment and find joy in the constant dance between form and flow. It serves as a reminder that even as things fall away, there is a beauty in the descent, a grace in the letting go.
